4. Permissions We Request

SpendWise may request the following device permissions to provide full functionality:

Camera Permission

Purpose: To allow you to take photos of receipts directly within the app.
Usage: Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared.
Optional: You can use the app without granting camera permission.

Photo Library Permission

Purpose: To allow you to attach existing photos from your device to transactions.
Usage: Selected photos are copied to the app's local storage and remain on your device.
Optional: You can use the app without granting photo library access.

Notifications Permission

Purpose: To send you local reminders about budgets and recurring transactions.
Usage: All notifications are generated locally on your device; no data is sent externally.
Optional: You can disable notifications in your device settings.

5. Data Security

We take data security seriously, even though we don't collect your data:

Retention: Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.
Deletion: You can delete individual transactions, categories, or all data within the app's settings. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all data stored by the app.
